The McDermott “Impact Pro” pool cue features a hand selected North American hard rock maple forearm and sleeve; 4 recon. ebony and recon. ivory “checkerboard” rings; 8 German Brass rings; and a classic pewter pearl metallic paint. The pearl paint is a three-stage paint base, pearl, and clear coat. It exceeds the automotive industries highest standards for UV protection, hardness, and color correctness. The paint is used by such fine companies as BMW, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, and Mercedes Benz. This cue features the exclusive McDermott Impact Control Ring, made of Polymer Matrix Composite (developed by NASA), which maximizes feel. The design is complemented by a genuine 100% Irish Linen wrap of black and a McDermott Soft Durometer Polymer bumper, the most wear and shock resistant bumper in the industry. The cue features a fine weave linen-based Ivorine 3 hand glued and screwed ferrule, a Medium Hard Triangle leather tip, a 3/8 x 10 heavy gage stainless steel pin, and a wood-to-wood joint for superior feel.
